Twiage is excited to partner this month with innovative system Inspira Health, based in New Jersey. The technology and health system will work together to streamline communications and effective patient care with regional EMS and hospital ED and service line leadership.
Thomas J. Pacek, Vice President of Information Systems and Chief Information Office at Inspira, offered this information on the goals of the project: ““For those suffering a medical emergency, such as a stroke or heart attack, every second counts and there’s no room for miscommunication… The implementation of the cutting-edge TWIAGE System will accelerate the vital care patients need in an emergency, and arm Inspira physicians with streamlined, real-time patient information to improve outcomes.” Twiage has already been proven to produce results in the state, working with many other EMS agencies and hospitals in New Jersey across a variety of healthcare workflows.
“Our Paramedics and EMTs are trained to assess and stabilize a patient’s condition, and therefore improve their likelihood of a positive outcome from critical, life-threatening issues,” said Dr. Jay Stiefel, Medical Director of EMS and Ground Transportation, Inspira Health. “As a vital link between our prehospital providers and the Inspira Emergency Physicians, the TWIAGE System will strengthen our emergency crews’ ability to coordinate and deliver the highest quality care to patients when they need it most.”
